Riverside Ice and Leisure have their own car parking facilities, but there are many other car parks in Chelmsford within walking distance to the Ice Rink.

Riverside Ice and Leisure has 2 café's as per below:

Ground floor café

The ground floor café, has indoor and outdoor terrace seating overlooking the river, toilets, an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities. The café is open to customers and the public alike, serving a range of treats. Please note that dogs are not permitted in the internal café area.

Mezzanine café

They also have a mezzanine café on the first floor next to the ice rink. It has a comfortable seating area and serves a range of snacks and treats.

Unfortunately, our merchandise is only sold on game days at the rink. Shirts however can be ordered via merch@chelmsfordchieftains.com for collection on game nights.

You might have been outside the rink, eagerly waiting to get into the game, when you've suddenly heard somebody shouting 50/50, or maybe this is what you heard when you first walked into the rink, but what exactly is 50/50?

If you have never played ice hockey before then the best place for you to start would be with some of the rec teams that play out of Chelmsford. The Chelmsford Reapers have a learn to play scheme – they can be found on facebook.

If you have played before please drop us an email with your Elite Prospects profile and some information of the levels you have played at.

You will need to contact the Chelmsford Ice Hockey Academy. They are on facebook and also have a website too.

Unfortunately, that does mean we are at capacity. We recommend not travelling unless you do have a ticket.

This is a mid game activity for the kids. We pop a cone on the ice and they have to glide their puck as close to the cone as they can.

Pucks need to be collected from the merch stand before the second period break.

If you would like to present the beers at the end of the game please email hello@chelmsfordchieftains.com and they will check the date for you.

It costs £30 to do so.
