Brandon Stones joins for 25/26

Chieftains squad continues to grow!

We are happy to announce the arrival of goalie Brandon Stones to the Chieftains for the 2025-26 season.  Brandon comes to us from Hull Jets in NIHL1 North where he played last season, following spells with Sheffield Scimitars, Milton Keynes Lightning and Sheffield Steeldogs.  

Cliff said “I am looking forward to working with Stonesy again, he contacted me when he knew he was moving down south but at that time we had our goalies sorted so he signed with Oxford, with them pulling out of the league he became available again and was still looking for a team when I went back to him.  Stonesy will help us with experience and presence and be a great support to Ross Miller in the pipes.”

Stonesy commented ‘I am really looking forward to the upcoming season with the Chieftans! It’s been a bit of a crazy summer for me, moving to London from Nottingham and finding a team down south, but when Cliff called me and asked if I would be interested in joining, I didn’t even have to think. I know Cliff and a number of the lads from my time in MK and they always made me feel welcome from day 1 and had some good years together. It will be my first time playing in this league and I’ve always heard such good things about the fan base here! I look forward to contributing to the team in any way I can and hopefully bring some more silverware to Chelmsford this season!’
