Air the bear!!! 

We are trying something new this year. At our final home game of 2025 on 14th December, we will be collecting donations of soft toys for the boys to deliver to the Phoenix Ward at Broomfield Hospital in time for Christmas.

If you’d like to donate, please bring a soft toy to the game (must be brand new, in a sealed clear bag, but not wrapped up so hospital staff can see what’s inside.)

When we score our first goal of the night, certain doors will be opened and you can throw the bears onto the ice, unfortunately we can’t throw them over the glass as our rink has netting all around but I’m sure we can still make it work and make an event of it. If you’d like to donate a non soft toy of course you can but please leave it at the merchandise stand on the night. 

This is something I have been a part of at my previous club and it’s always very rewarding, if a little sad, being able to give a little something to those who aren’t so fortunate at the worst possible time of year.

Please give generously if you are able and we will report back once we have delivered the goods to the children.
