Ross Miller Joins as Our New Netminder for the 2025/26 Season!

We are thrilled to announce that Ross Miller is joining the Black and Gold in September.
 
With a proven track record between the pipes and a relentless work ethic, Ross is ready to bring his A-game to the crease.
 
29 year old Welshman Ross started his playing career in Cardiff before moving over the water where he played for Bristol for 3 seasons. When Bristol moved back home, Miller stayed on in Oxford where he has remained for the past 6 seasons.
 
Coach Cliff commented “I’m really pleased to be signing a goalie of  Ross’s calibre to the club, when it became clear we needed to look at bringing in another goalie towards the end of last season, after a few chats between Clema and I, he was at the top of our list. There is a reason why he won the league all-star goalie last season as voted by players and coaches he faces on a nightly basis and I believe he will give us a chance to win every night which is all any coach can ask for, especially when you are pushing for silverware.  Ross played a couple of games for me in the National league a few years back when we had 11 players including both goalies out with Covid and he performed really well and whilst it wasn’t a true reflection of his game playing behind a thrown together team, I could clearly see his potential, this has been backed up by Clema’s expert eye in the goalie position.”
 
When asked about his move to Chelmsford Miller stated “Hiya Chieftains fans I've heard nothing but great things about playing for the black and gold and I look forward to experiencing it first hand which is why I am excited to have signed for the club for the upcoming season. That said I'm not here just to be a passenger, I'm here to win. I’m here to give everything I possibly can towards helping the club achieve its goals for 25/26.”
