Two new faces!

The Chieftains are delighted to announce two new forwards!

The Chieftains are thrilled to welcome two new forwards; Ethan Hersant and Rio Grinell-Parke to the club for the upcoming season.

Born in George Town, Cayman Islands, 26 year old Ethan arrives with valuable international experience and a strong offensive skillset. The right-shot forward has spent recent seasons developing in North American and Sweden, most recently featuring for Alfta GIF.

Rio joins us after his time with the Milton Keynes Lighting, bringing experience, speed and offensive creativity to the lineup.

Rio Grinell-Parker had the following to say about his signing:

"I am happy to be signing with the Chelmsford Chieftains for the upcoming season.

I've heard some good things about the club, and having played with a few guys on this team helps the transition to a new team and new setup.

I'm looking forward to getting started, meeting the fans, and doing my best to help bring success to the club."

Ethan Hersant had the following to say about his signing:

"I'm super excited for the oppertunity to sign with Chelmsford this season. After talking with Ben early on, it was clear that the club's goals and mine were the same, to win trophies.

Can't wait to do whatever I can to help this team have a great season and reach these goals. I've heard nothing but great things about the fans and the town already, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the end of Summer!"

And a word from Coach Clema on Rio:

"Really pleased to have Rio on board for the new season, he's a hard-working player who is going to bring speed and grit to our lineup which will make him tough to play against and something we lacked at times last season. He's going to be a big part of our offensive threat and can't wait to see him in a Chieftains jersey."

And on Ethan:

"Starting the season with two imports was key for me and being able to bring a player of Ethan's calibre over to the UK is a massive boost for us as a team. He skates well and has great eye for goal too, which is going to add more depth to our offensive lineup, really looking forward to working with him this coming season."
