Ben and Hallden return!

The team continues to grow for the 26/27 season

We're delighted to announce the return of Ben Russell and Hallden Barnes-Garner for the 26/27 season!

Hallden had the following to say about his return:

"Extremely happy to be back at the Riverside for my 4th year. We were all disappointed with how the season went last year and I think it has put a bit of fire in our belly for the coming year.

I believe in the project Clem is building and hoping we as a team can achieve some special things.

I can't wait to be back infront of you fans as the support is unmatched in this league and best by a country mile. Hope you're all enjoying your summer and will see you soon.

Let's go have a season! Up the Chiefs!"

Ben had the following to say about his return:

"I'm excited to be back with the Chieftains for another year. I wasn't sure if i'd be playing another year, however this was the first season since I've been at the club that we haven't won something and that didn't sit right with me.

I'm looking forward to working with Clema and hopefully bringing some success back to the Riverside. Have a good summer and see you all in September!"

And a word from Head Coach Clema on Hallden:

It's great to be bringing  Halds back for another season. He is an important player for us, one that plays hard at both ends of the ice and chips in with some big goals as well.

He's also very experienced at this level and someone I know I can trust during those big moments."

And on Russel he said the following:

"Really pleased to have Benny back with us for another season. He's one of the best stay at home D men in the league, he has been a steady presence for our team and I look forward to him having another solid season."
